The second speaker was Joanne Shattock, Emertius Professor of Victorian Literature at the University of Leicester. Her talk concerned Margaret Oliphant and John Blackwood.

Joanne is a longstanding member and supporter of the fellowship and has co-edited a major 25 volume edition of Margaret Oliphant. A recording of Joanne's talk is available to view below.
