The first speaker was by Jane Robinson, Senior Associate of Somerville College, Oxford. Her talk was based on her latest book 'Trailblazer'  a biography of Barbara Bodichon.

As well as being a co-founder of Girton College Barbara was also a very close friend of George Eliot and cousin to Florence Nightingale. A recording of Jane's talk is available to view below.
