Exploring Adam Bede Country

Programme

11:00am - Coach leaves Chilvers Coton Heritage Centre

12:45pm - Arrive at Ellastone (Hayslope in Adam Bede). We suggest you take a packed lunch and toilets are available at the village hall.

11:40am - Guided walk starts and ends at St Peter's Church and lasts between 2.5 to 3 hours. Local tour guide Edward Barker will talk about 17 scenes from the novel that will be viewed during the walk and will read some short passages. At the end of the walk there will be a chance for tea and cake before we leave. 

5:15pm - Leave Ellastone

7:00pm - Arrive Chilvers Coton Heritage Centre
