    One of the best ways to learn about George Eliot is to come on one of the George Eliot Country Tours that the Fellowship organises. The tour takes you to the sites associated with the author.     Annual Wreathlaying - Nuneaton

    The Annual wreathlaying event takes place every summer at the obelisk in the George Eliot Memorial Gardens, alongside the river in Nuneaton. The obelisk has been there since it was moved from Arbury Park in the 1950s and every year we have a guest of honour to lay a chaplet or wreath on behalf of the Fellowship.  There are usually 15 or 16 groups from the area who lay a wreath.
